September 3, 2011 - 6:30AM EST - Denny & Chris will be boarding a ferry this morning, utilizing the only way to get vehicles to Hatteras Island, off the coast of North Carolina. Only two trips are made to and from the island each day. We hope to continue our assessment of Hatteras Island and connect with local pastors remaining. Sunday, local residents will start being ferried back to the island. CIA volunteer crews continue to work the Outer Banks area removing trees and debris from yards. People here are so thankful that we are able to help them recover from the storm, so we are happy to share why we do what we do.
